Learning Madness started with a fifth grader and their struggles with math. While math wasn’t their favorite subject, they did like giant monsters and other craziness. Adding a little mayhem to the math helped make an otherwise frustrating subject fun. I hope the pages on this site can help to engage and entertain other math students as well.
The ‘Lesson’ worksheets on this site focus on a narrow mathematical technique or concept.
‘Word Problem’ sheets, on the other hand, typically require a range of mathematical techniques. These are intended to challenge students to identify the proper method for solving the problem as practice in applying the method correctly.
There are also ‘Extra Work’ sheets that provide a number of formula-based problems for students that want to practice specific skills.
